The five streams of diversity we focus on are:
- • Gender
- • Culture (including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples)
- • Flexibility
- • Disability
- • Age
Our key diversity programs include our Women in Leadership series that develops and promotes confidence in our female associates; and our Reconciliation Action Plan which strives to close the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
Reconciliation Action Plan
Staples is a strong supporter of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and sees immense value in the RAP program. Supporting these communities has become a part of our internal culture. Through our RAP initiatives, our aim is to help Indigenous businesses and communities grow and employ more Indigenous staff. We also want to ensure there’s a pipeline of Indigenous talent in the future which is why our community programs focus on supporting organisations that provide job skills and/or education.
We recognise that Indigenous Australians are under-represented within the broader Australian workforce.
As a founding member of Supply Nation, we create a business environment that fosters indirect employment opportunities through procuring goods and services of Supply Nation certified suppliers. Learn why supplier diversity pays in our latest smart paper ‘Why supplier diversity means good business’.
